I am a salaried employee and was just told by my manager that being logged in an active does not count as working! I said I don’t have enough work to last me the full 8 hours because I am very efficient at my job and his response was “find more work”.

I have 6-8 meetings per day, around 30-40 emails per day, and have to prep for the next day’s 6-8 meetings. I am going nonstop for my whole 8 hours 💀

My job is technically a call center, but I have work tasks I need to do. It takes me like 3 - 4 hours to do the tasks, then Im just chilling waiting for a call lol No need to pretend to work cuz they NEED me to stay to answer any potential calls. But we're a low volume call center so barely any calls lol
