I was hospitalized for 5 days and came home to a clean house, clean kids, he gutted and reorganized multiple closets that had been driving us nuts, and our kids didn’t get behind on a single assignment. And he barely let me lift a finger after I got home until I convinced him I was feeling up to it.

I absolutely despise people who say “thats the norm”. It may be, it’s the norm for us women too, don’t you want to be appreciated for the norm ? I absolutely LOVE when my husband appreciates me for cooking, why wouldnt I show appreciation when he does it ?

no because on the weekends somehow he always finds a way to clean the whole house and look after the baby while I rest and catch up on whatever I want and I’m always baffled… he’d be such a good SAHD idk how he gets it all done

I went away for four days for a work conference and my husband and daughter had a special time. It was my first time leaving her for an overnight (she’s 6). They had done all these little adventures while I was gone. Cleaned the house and even fed my sourdough starter while I was gone (or bread slime as my daughter calls it).
