When my kids throw fits I get on their level and scold them for the fit then tell them that if they make good choices we will do something for them later, but we have to go bc we are done. I DO NOT ABUSE THEM.

I always hated the way abusive parents say “it’s MY child”, as if the baby is property and excuses them to hurt them. I’m 27 and i’ve been that child growing up, that phrase triggers me till this day.
