It’s funny that historically speaking witches gathered things from nature to practice the craft . The whole point is connecting with nature and energy around you and that doesn’t cost a thing!!

I wouldn’t trust rich witches tbh 😂 the witches I trust are the ones who live in homes surrounded by handcrafted and passed down ornaments, who use old washed out food jars to hold moon water and grow their herbs on the windowsill, they’re the ones who understand how things work and where energy comes from and understand real problems and real struggle, the ‘witches’ that buy everything in fancy boutiques and only use brand new or expensive items have totally missed the point of what being a witch is, the first part of witchcraft is being in tune with the world around you

A lot of times when I have asked for things in spells, I had expected the problem to be solved by receiving money from unexpected sources. Spirit really likes to give me solutions to my problems outside of money. I am receiving the abundance and prosperity I ask for, but it does not come in the form of physical money. Sometimes I’ll get things I asked for for free instead of getting the money to pay for them. I have plenty of stories 🙏🏻

my hot take: the "dont trust broke witches" take is really silly, they practice their craft with what little they have, and can still possess as much growth and power as a witch who bought lots of stuff for their practice. both kinds are as valid, the magic comes from the user and the universe more than the tools, the tools only direct and amplify.

I’ve never had any other witchtok video on my fyp till now, and apparently I’m finding out people are being classist? On a belief? I get materials, but I feel like you can have the materials and no ‘belief’ (if you guys call it that, i know basically nothing about witchcraft). So the belief part is above all else. You mentioned being homeless so do those witches think someone is no longer a witch if something happens and they no longer have money?? Coming from an outsiders perspective, it makes no sense.

i believe this thinking comes from saying "when a witch is broke, it means her money workings don't work so she's weak" which is complete bs. not everyone wants to practice money magick and the people who do all have different views on money. some practitioners take it as far as living a fully luxurious life meanwhile for me that wouldn't be fulfilling at all. does that mean their magick is more powerful than mine? ofc not, they just have different views on money than i have and therefore cast different spells with different results

also like historically witches were not like rich or rich rich they were legit how were living now working with what we have. material gain based magic happened later on and that came from charlatans. not saying it's not okay to sell craft. But again that wasn't the MAIN reason why witchcraft became a thing.

Someone had said “if your homeless you shouldn’t be teaching people how to do abundance spells” I believe that some people who choose to be homeless can infact teach people abundance spells (not saying all homeless people choose to be homeless cause that’s not always true) but homeless people in an entirety do have a right to teach people abundance spells you never know maybe the person who is homeless is doing abundance spells and it’s actually helping them so they are teaching what they did to others to help others

I love this💖💖 the most powerful parts of my practice have been the most simple, it shouldn't be controversial but I really dont spend much on my practice. I grow my herbs in my kitchen, I thrift my jars, and I bought one set tarot cards and one set of oracle cards. Our practices should be our own and there shouldn't be any kind of competition or comparing

being a witch and practicing the craft is not about buying high dollar items from a metaphysical shop or even another witch. it's not a competition for better homes and actors. our ancestors did not have a cauldron for spell work and another for cooking. typically it was the same one they used for cooking or the same one that was used to boil water or do washing in. a lot of tools served double duty and could be hid in plan sight.

As someone who married into a very rich family my view on money has changed. Money cannot buy you health, love, or fulfillment. The charities and scholarships they give out are for tax reasons not the goodness of their heart. Behind the scenes they're not truly happy and they attract a ton of people that want to use them. It can be super isolating.
