bro I went in today to get those $1.25 tree car fresheners and it was $3 Dollar tree used to be my go-to because I'm a single mom and that's where I would get like snacks and certain frozen treats, literally everyone's going to have to reevaluate where they're going to go now this is ridiculous

Those are the larger name-brand items. It's similar pricing to Dollar General or Family Dollar depending what you're getting. (Though for anyone doing school shopping, it's generally cheaper to get school supplies from Walmart)
