@lazylakerscreations: I felt so sad for the little guy 😥. I am thinking rabies or not sure if a tick diease can do this to them. #racoon #racoonsoftiktok #racoons #sad #wildlife #advice
could be anything from a calcium deficiency from losing moms milk to rabies. I'm betting distemper though. they get so dehydrated and wobble, but if it was that i don't think it would be trying to eat. If it does come back you could try a bowl of kitten formula.(they sell power at walmart) maybe it would drink it...just a thought.

Sounds like distemper, sadly.

Could be distemper, or rabies. It would be best to put it out of its misery🥺 We had a little guy show up like this a few years ago, in the daytime and alone. I just breaks your heart 💔

does this little guy drink or just eat? sounds like distemper. however it's pretty similar to rabies but with rabies they're afraid of water

Distemper. Possibly rabies. Also maybe severely dehydrated due to lack of nourishment from mom. I would call a wildlife rehab or rescue.

I think it's distemper. I've had a raccoon like that in my neighborhood before but he has chewed his tail off.

Looks like his left back leg is injured it's turning under. Maybe other babies bully him. Mama knows he won't survive in the woods that's why she's leaving him with you. Mama will always watch out for him from a distance. I am sure without mom & siblings he's confused as to where they all are he's missing family. He will get his days and nights mixed up since he doesn't have a mom to sleep with.May take awhile to get a pattern. Do you try to sit by his area and hold out a treat for him to come & take out of your hand. I have had mama's leave the runt of the litter at my house because she knows it will be safe here. I have had the same mom for about 7 years she has litter about every 2 years and some wander off. Do you have a rehab for wild life they would check that leg it might be a fractured bone or a birth defect that is showing up as he grows. Babies do spook easy but the little guy has been dumped and has no one to play with. You might get him a ball to play with for company & a plastic toy he could hang onto when he's still. The thrift store has the best bargains they love plastic baby toys. If you work with him now he will make a great pet. I pray that his leg gets better. Thank you for taking such good care of him. I am not a professional I have just had them living around me. Mine are not scared of my shepherd or any of the cats. God bless
