As a mom of soon to be 4 during the swimming season it feels like I have 20 kids . I will dedicate a day to washing everything and during the week small load like towels and bedding. I’ll section the clothes by category like all pants socks shirts jacket and then divide it by person. It feels like I’m getting somewhere as I’m going through the categories 😅

How old are your kids? Mine are 17, 16, 12 & 10 now but they all started doing their own laundry when they were around 7 or 8 years old. I think it’s an important life skill to teach them, but it still requires a lot of scheduling and supervising/demonstrating until they get into the routine. I still occasionally help them fold/hang, but it’s their responsibility to wash/dry and put away. Teaching them early on has truly been my best mom hack 💜

If you think about it, laundry is a relatively simple chore. Put dirty clothes in a basket, bring basket downstairs and put in hole, add liquid and hit a button. Move washed closed to the other hole and bring upstairs
