My first D&C for a missed miscarriage didn’t work. No fetal tissue in the pathology report. I had a second D&C and asked them to do an ultrasound while still under to ensure they got it. They go in “blind” with a vacuum. That’s why they can miss it. I’m sorry this happened to you. I remember mine well and it was 3 years ago. 😞

My dnc was done . Dr didn’t take baby out had whole fetus come out 4 days after ( was in extreme pain) then 1 week from my dnc I passed a blood clot the size of a baseball then started hemorrhaging.. emergency surgery had to be done ..

Definitely new doc! My d&c in April I only bled a couple days, no pain/nausea, and felt completely normal after that besides being heartbroken. I hate that some docs are like this ☹️

Def. Not normal. I was fine after my first D&C, bled a few days and then a period came later like normal. I’m currently miscarrying again and my levels are going down so my dr wants to wait before a D&C this time…

Please push push push to be taken seriously. I had no idea I was pregnant when I miscarriage my last out of six miscarriages. Four weeks later I was still hurting. Constantly felt sick. Turned out I was pregnant with twins. The twin survived, survived the pills, as well as the d&c. My Dr had never seen anything like it. And 8 months later came my youngest. You’re in my thoughts babe. I truly hope the drs take you seriously no matter what the circumstances may be. You should always be taken seriously by your health care providers. 🫂

I had a c-section 12/14. Kept calling sick and bleeding. Told it was normal. Finally 1/12 was hemorrhaging and went to ER. Retained placenta…after a c-section! Was told I needed an emergency D&C and antibiotics STAT. I wanted to go to the ER my dr was at. ER Dr listened to what I said, called OB. She refused to see me or even talk to me and told him to send me home and follow up in the office in a few days as I was having a normal first menstrual cycle. I refused to leave and demanded to be seen bedside by OB. She came, said other hospital was wrong, it’s less than a 1% chance with a c-section. I demanded a D&C. She had to call a few days later with pathology results to tell me she was wrong. Had I gone home, I would have went septic and bled to death. Then had to have hysterectomy 3/12. NIGHTMARE!

good lord i so sorry your dealing with this I had an incomplete miscarriage june 10th had to take pills to pass baby it's been 6 weeks im still testing positive and my obgyn scheduled my next appointment for august 14th 😑 planning to go to the er and see if they can check my hgc and do a ultrasound cause im not waiting to long to be seen by the ob I have 3 other kids and worried ive retained tissue still

Currently trying to work through something like this. I lost mine very early, not even 5 weeks yet, so no D&C needed but have been having lots of pain for a week now. Thankfully my OB is being good, just had my 4th round of labs to watch levels

I'd go to a new dr asap. even the er would do an ultrasound and give meds. I didn't take anything or have a d&c with my loss, it took about 3weeks to complete butte other options scared me. definitely be seen somewhere else, you need someone who will listen and actually help

I was bleeding for two months after my first d&c. They kept telling me it was normal..and I was like. No, no it is not. After they finally kept taking my blood work for a couple weeks they decided that something was wrong. They missed some of the baby. Had to have a second d&c. The only good thing out of it was the 2nd one I was asleep for. The first one I was completely awake and it was horrible.

Omg that is awful. I'm so sorry to hear that you are getting treated like this. as far as I'm aware rhe d and c was supposed to remove any retained tissues

I had to have a d&c at 9 weeks due to a empty sack. Two weeks later I had a miscarriage and ended up in hospital until I passed all that was left behind.xx

I had a c-section and was sent to have an emergency DNC 2 weeks after my c section for placenta being left behind. They said mine was rare to hemorrhage 2 weeks after birth and acted like it was nothing. I was told if I hadn’t gone back in I would have been dead by the morning. I lost so much blood I had to have a blood transfusion and still my doctor acted like this was normal. I hate healthcare. I had so much stuff go wrong I did not get to enjoy any of what was supposed to be my bonding time with my last baby.
