Reasons why Christianity ISN'T a cult(using the points of this video): 1. Christianity is all about questioning what we already "know", because most Bible verses are to be interpreted instead of taken 100% literally 2. Christ commands to respect other's even if they're not Christian, even if most modern Christians struggle with it.(Love thy neighbour for example) 3. Christians trust sources if they align with what the Bible says, because it's the logical thing to do, but we also take into account that there are other opinions, and look into them based on our understanding of the Bible 4. We don't distance ourselves from the ones we love if they don't believe(unlike with Scientology), we distance ourselves from people who openly disrespect us for our beliefs. 5. Many Christians believe not because they're scared, but because they believe that what Jesus did for us is true and we want to put our faith in him for it. 6. We KNOW that we're not in a cult, because it only takes basic understanding of the Bible and like 5 minutes of research to see that Christianity doesn't align with the idea of a cult, even if there's a lot of propaganda media that alters the basic idea of a cult to fit Christianity. See Christianity is not a cult. 1.jesus actually loves it when people question . 2.jesus taught to love everyone and your “enemies”.3.jesus wants open minded people to follow him and again he loves it when people question.4.Jesus taught to love family and protect family. 5.Jesus never threatened anyone who left him and actually forgave the person who sold him out to the cross for 3 pieces of silver.6 I know Christianity isn’t a cult because of these points.
