I think that description of a “good” man is more of he’s successful socially and financially, cause what i was taught by the men in my family was a good man at his core, cares deeply for others and puts other before himself and provides protection and guidance for others with a strong moral compass leading people and himself toward thier best and tries to understand his family and friends on a deep level to try and help them the best way

Might be a little bias because the people in friend groups tend to all have similar social status. All of those things are impressive, relative to the rest of the world or even a major metro in the US. I went to school for engineering, my childhood best friend is an El Ed teacher. Weird how I’m 28 and 90% of my friends are either elementary school teachers or engineers.

I don’t care about anything you listed. In my eyes none of that qualifies a person to be a good or bad person. A women could be dirt poor, no degree, and a terrible career. If I love her i am going to try my hardest to make it work. People care too much about irrelevant shi. You can’t take that job and money to the grave. Love someone, like REALLY love the person they are. If you do, you will naturally do anything in your power to bring them joy and comfort. I hate how superficial the world is.

Then what’s a good woman to you? Seems to me you’re devaluing your friends by calling them just an average woman. Your friends seem to be good women. Why can’t they both be good men and women? There are good, average and deadbeat men and women in all aspects of life.

wow look what modern feminism has done everything's always a competition now who's better at what or who has it worse? a relationship is not about competition, it's about what you do for your partner. and how you build each other up and how you compliment each other. when you act like your partner is the enemy you will always have your guard up and never let them in. you'll never be happy cuz you're always going to be looking for what can someone else give me that they can't. sometimes the grass might look greener on the other side, but when you get over the fence you realize it's painted on. you have to work together towards a common goal and stop looking for validation in other places trust in yourself and The person you choose to share your life with. Don't let feminism cloud your judgment and throw away something beautiful and good

not disagreeing but not my experience all my friends' wives are stay at home mom's none of them have degrees all their husbands do or have a very good paying job and my wife is the only one with a degree I dont have one but I make 3 times as much as she did and I supported her all the way through college
