Many people go into fostering with hopes of having a family. That doesn’t mean they don’t want the families to stay together. Fostering is hard. You can foster with the hope to one day adopt and you can be an AMAZING foster parent and help support bio parents meet their goals to get their children back. You can also cheer bio parents on but at the same time be there and ready to adopt IF a family does not get back together. I work with foster parents and kids in the foster care system and some of the BEST foster parents have stories very similar to hers.

I think I watched this one and someone in the comments was saying their friend or something was pregnant and wanting to give up the baby and saying they would put them in contact…I read it and it felt so “Facebook market” vibes 🫣

This might be an unpopular opinion but I think pre birth adoption matching should be illegal. The only pre birth option should be kinship guardianship.

my husband and I thought we were infertile and adoption was never considered as a replacement for becoming parents. those children have parents most of the time that need help. not someone to take their child.

I have a genuine question because I grew up being told adoption is a beautiful thing but since being on tiktok I am seeing that its not. Is there a way for adoption not to be traumatic? Like if someone got pregnant and really did not want to keep the baby but didnt want to terminate. Is there a way to go about it or no?

Can you actually have compassion for someone who has gone through this tragedy of not being able to be a mother? I understand having concerned for adoption and trauma with that as i spent my entire childhood in the system and had failed adoption.
