I had 2 dnc's due to polyps in my uterus and I didn't have any pain whatsoever after my surgery.

Could it be been a molar pregnancy or incomplete molar pregnancy? Where it will pretty acts like a tumor and will continue to replicate. I had one when I was 20 and needed to monitor for a year to make sure they got all the stuff was gotten with the first DNC.

Hey sweet lady! I’ve been following you for a few years now, and in those few years, I have also endured 2 miscarriages. I never had to have the medication or a DNC. However, last year, I did have a serious health issue come up and I had to have a hysterectomy, but my doctor denied it and instead of tried to prescribe me a bunch of birth control instead to put a bandaid on the problem strictly due to my age. I ended up having to find a new provider and I found one that was willing to do it and when they did the surgery last summer, he found out that I was actually bleeding internally because my tubes had ripped because my health issue was so serious. Thankfully, I’ve been able to use my experience to talk with a lot of women who have similar concerns, and my advice is always that you know your body the best. So keep fighting for what you need. 💕💕

took the meds at 12 weeks. we had to do a very strong dose but not that high! it was aweful! but I was close to hemorrhaging

that is horrible. I had a d and c on July 5th 2023 and then a week later I ended up back in the er getting a blood transfusion and another d and c. I cant believe they put you through all that😳

I’m sorry you are getting the run around. OB nurse here. That dose can be given for miscarriage. Definitely painful physically and emotionally to go thru. I’m sorry.

The meds don’t work for me I had retain tissue for a full month for the doctor would do a DNC which worked, but the doctor was shocked. She thought the retained product was blood clots and ended up being retained tissue. I felt like shit.

I am so incredibly sorry. I can’t believe you had to go through that. I can’t imagine how hard that was on you.. to have a miscarriage is hard enough without having to dealing with everything else that was not right and they should’ve taken better care of you.

My experience with my d&c, I went for a viability scan, baby had no heartbeat and was a week less than I should have been, was told to come back in a week for another scan, ultrasound tech said “why are you back here? I said 2 weeks” (no you didn’t but whatever. Only bad thing was her), still no heartbeat and still measuring the 6 weeks. Talked to the doctor about it and was given the options for my body to naturally pass it, the pills or a d&c, I chose the d&c, but because I was still so “early” they wanted to wait until my hcg lowered a bit at least to know the pregnancy was no longer viable, once hcg went down, I got in the next day had the d&c, all the doctors were so compassionate and lovely, woke up from surgery and surgeon said he’s sure he got all the tissue, was getting blood work done every 2 days until my hcg was lower than 5 and we could confidently say there was absolutely no tissue left. Your whole “care” team has made a difficult time even worse 💔 definitely see if you can even just get them for emotional distress/neglect because that’s absolutely ridiculous! Leaving tissue inside you that could have started decaying at any point is extremely dangerous, too! I am so so SO sorry you’ve had to endure all the extra trauma from this 😞

im so so sorry you had to deal with all that. I had to take it as well for my second miscarriage, I carried for 10 weeks only to be told the baby had stopped developing at 6 weeks and 3 days. they gave me the options and I chose to take the misoprostol at home. thankfully it worked but that was the most horrible physical, mental, and emotional pain I've ever been in. And that includes when I had my rainbow baby the next year
