I desperately don’t want to sound condescending when I say this…but I think that this is the whole point. Someone else said that Conor would agree with you…because he was trying to be that person. The whole time he DESPERATELY wanted to be with her but did everything he could to keep it from happening because he hated himself so much that he genuinely thought he had nothing to offer her besides the things that would be bad about being with him. Every chance he gets, he reinforces those things on purpose until he FINALLY realizes that he’s not doing Mya a favor by keeping her away. Mya even realizes it and comments on it at some point. Now. Does that make it any less frustrating? No. I think people are a little overly harsh to my guy though.
