Host was embarrassed and failed at planning to make the food. He was DRASTICALLY under prepared, and he was probably getting frustrated the whole time because HE was embarrassed and YOU were saving the day for everyone. In the end, he came out and was FURTHER embarrassed bc he had failed to cook the chicken. You have it together and he does not, and he lashed out at you to reassert power over you. They are not healed. They are not ready. You did nothing wrong.

This was painful to listen cuz I feel so seen. I get taken advantage of then blamed afterward for it … I hate it. Now I am SO strict about “closing portals”… I don’t even let people have access to me via phone if they aren’t properly maintaining the relationship. They get blocked. Even if they ghost me and will probably never contact me again- blocked.
