She took her kids upstairs and was in the doorway so that they’d have to go through her to get to her kids. She turned off the lights so the kids wouldn’t see what she was about to have to do. She warned them and followed through. She deserves a medal

This happened to me when my husband was deployed. Stuck the kids in the furthest bedroom, locked their door and made my way down the hallway. Announced I was armed, made sure they heard the mag being loaded and gun cocked and I cleared the house. They ran. It was a scenario my anxiety ran through my head nightly. I was ready. I also didn’t sleep for the last 3mths of the deployment.

My mom did the same thing as a kid. Had us in a room and sat at the top of the stairs with the shotgun and notified them and 911 she was armed. The 911 dispatcher told her she was allowed to open fire as soon as they stepped foot in our house.

A man broke into my house when I was alone with my 8 month old and dog. He heard me, he saw me, he knew I had a gun and he commenced trying to kick my door in anyways. The audacity and the perseverance was so unnerving. My dog drug him outside by the leg and held him for almost 10 minutes until help arrived and i never fired. The cops acted like I was a crazy person looking for a fight and threatened to kill my dog. Women are women’s protection :/

Those people broke in the house and she baracaded herself in a room. There was 3 of them trying to attack her, not rob the house. They told her they were there to jump her. She told them that her children were there and they chose not to leave.

2am people got through the window the dog alerted us as we were all asleep me my partner and at the time our daughter who was 8months my partner called the police and the dog waited at the top of the stairs looked at me and I said GO GET off she went shame they got out intime as we weren't the only ones this happened to that night and they're still going around doing it
