⬇️It would be great if all you had to do was fill out an application to get scheduled a job interview but that isn’t how it works, and no one is going to tell you this but the reason it doesn’t work is because the system is designed to keep you out.  🧑🏽‍💻If you’ve been looking for a job and filling out job applications for a while you know that it doesn’t work.  🏢Corporations use applicant tracking systems to organize their resume database. Applicant tracking systems or ATS for short are meant to make the corporate HR team and recruiters lives easier NOT make it easier for you to get a job.  As a previous Director of Talent Acquisition my job was to find the best talent for the organization, and no one believes that the best talent fills out an application.  ▪️We believe that the best talent is at our competitor happily working. 👇🏼 🔹That’s why corporations pay recruiters to cold call people to recruit them to work for them.  🔸That’s why companies have rich employee referrals programs where they pay employees bonuses to refer their friends and previous co-workers.  🤷🏼‍♀️I am not sure why people believe that filling out an online application will get you a job.  It’s about 2% effective.  80% of people get jobs through their network. 🛑Stop wasting your time applying to jobs online and get networking. Ask your friends and family and previous co-workers to refer you into their companies.  🤫The system that corporations use to hire is rigged and is made to keep you out.  Do NOT believe for a second that the application process at a company is designed to help you gain access.  🔻It is a time consuming, multi-step process that is designed to be an obstacle.  ▪️It’s made to prevent you from getting in.
