Vanilla Cream Rolls Recipe 🤍 This recipe combines the delicacy of puff pastry with the richness of Diplomat cream. A dreamy dessert that strikes the perfect balance between crispy, creamy, and sweet. 🥰 📝 Ingredients: (Makes 10 Rolls) - 1 roll puff pastry (240 g) - 250 ml milk - 2 egg yolks - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract - 50 g sugar - 20 g cornstarch - 120 ml whipped cream - 1 egg yolk + 1 tablespoon cream, beaten (for brushing) - Powdered sugar (for dusting) 🤍 Preparation: 1. In a saucepan, mix milk, egg yolks, vanilla extract, sugar, and cornstarch. Heat the mixture, stirring until it thickens into a custard. Let the custard cool completely. Fold whipped cream into the cooled custard and refrigerate for an hour. 2. Roll out puff pastry and cut it into 20 evenly sized strips. Grease cannoli forms and wrap them with puff pastry strips, connecting two strips for each form. 3. Brush the prepared rolls with a mixture of beaten egg yolk and cream. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan) for 15-17 minutes until golden brown. Once baked, remove from the oven, release from the forms, and let them cool completely. 4. Retrieve the chilled cream from the refrigerator, fill a pastry bag, and pipe the cream into the cooled pastry pieces. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve chilled.
