When kids are used by adults to commit crimes, the issue isn’t just juvenile delinquency—it’s exploitation. Most of the time, these kids aren’t hardened criminals. They’re survivors of poverty, neglect, and broken systems. Adults know that minors face lighter punishment, so they take advantage, pulling children into situations they don’t fully understand. Social workers and juvenile justice experts agree: we need to treat these kids as victims first. Locking them up doesn’t fix anything—it often makes things worse. Rehab, therapy, safe spaces, and real support to help them heal and rebuild. We also need stronger laws and systems to go after the actual criminals—the ones exploiting children from behind the scenes. Protect kids. Hold adults accountable. Build systems that care, not just punish.
