People ask me all the time if I’ll give my 6yr old a sibling, the answer is always no, the usual reply is “well you’re still young.” I had a high risk pregnancy with my son at 32, no way am I putting my body through that again at almost 40.

As an only child raising an only child, this sends me into an epic eye roll. The argument I always get is “well she’ll be lonely” to which I usually reply with “I was an only child. I got to do a lot of fun things with my parents because I was the only child and they could afford to give me some fun. And I am doing the same with my daughter.” There usually isn’t anything else left for them to say.

Got this all the time when my daughter was young. People were appalled we only WANTED one kid. She now has a son…and isn’t sure she’s giving him a sibling. She enjoyed her childhood as an only child

The amount of times I’ve been asked similar questions like this song, “are these all yours?” “Are they all the same dad” like jeez first of all it’s none of your business 🤣 and yes they are all mine and all have the same dad

I get the same questions like my son is almost 13 why…why would i want to do it all over again? And my son hes started telling people he doesn’t want siblings so there you go 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I hate people who assume kids are spoiled just bc they’re an only child. I had it hard too. It doesn’t make us immune to abvse or anything. If you only want one child then only have one
