This is a comment to help some understand the lore of time loop series: So when it comes to time loops, especially when it is destined lovers, their timelines reset at the same time, I have not read the book but as someone who has watched enough series to last me a lifetime I know the lore, so this is probably what happened, Armin dies and has not met the love of his life so fate gives him a reset and for the reset to work it means Thada in the timeline of dead Armin must have died too and both go back to before they met, their past. The whole point is for fate to bring them together, now they are in a new timeline in their past, Armin is aware of the time travel, Thada probably doesn’t because his death was not the climax, Armins death was. So now how does it end, usually they stay in love and conquer all but at a point Armin will go back to his future, because time holes aren’t complete circles, you have to return but when he returns to the future he will go back before his death and he will face all his troubles, and meet the love of his life as strangers again, start their relationship all over again and then have their happy ending. But the loop continues because past Thada has lost future Armin and future Armin is meeting future Thada, so past Thada will die too at a point to complete the loop, so that future Thada is alive for future Armin in their third and last timeline and have a happy life. I hope you understand what I just explained it sounds confusing but those that understand will get it.
