Conditional sentences describe a situation and its possible result. They are often called "if" sentences and are used to express real or imaginary situations and their outcomes. There are five main types of conditional sentences in English: 1️⃣ Zero Conditional Structure: If + present simple, present simple Use: General truths or scientific facts Example: If you heat water to 100°C, it boils. 2️⃣ First Conditional Structure: If + present simple, will + base verb Use: Real and possible future situations Example: If it rains tomorrow, we will stay indoors. 3️⃣ Second Conditional Structure: If + past simple, would + base verb Use: Unreal or hypothetical situations in the present/future Example: If I had a million dollars, I would travel the world. 4️⃣ Third Conditional Structure: If + past perfect, would have + past participle Use: Imaginary past situations or regrets Example: If you had studied, you would have passed the exam. 5️⃣ Mixed Conditional Structure: Combination of 2nd and 3rd Use: Linking past conditions with present consequences (or vice versa) Example: If I had taken that job, I would be rich ✍️ Bonus Tip: Use “unless,” “provided that,” “in case,” etc., for advanced conditional expressions. #EnglishGrammar #ConditionalSentences #LearnEnglish #GrammarTips #EnglishTeacher #GrammarLesson #EnglishLearning #IfClauses #SpeakFluentEnglish #GrammarMadeEasy #TenseAndConditionals #StudyEnglishDaily #EnglishForEveryone #EnglishGrammarHelp #EnglishLanguageLearner #ZeroConditional #FirstConditional #SecondConditional #ThirdConditional #MixedConditionals
