Think about it, DPWH receives a ₱254.3 billion budget for flood control. The budget for flood control is larger than the budgets of DoH, DoTr, and DENR, and yet our flood control shows little to no progress. The government spends more money on flood control while giving less money for our health, transportation, and environmental conservation, but they show little to no effort. Every year, streets still flood with a few hours of rain, hospitals struggle with underfunding, commuters face unreliable transport, and our forests and rivers continue to suffer. We need to question why we pour billions into flood projects that fail to protect us while the sectors that keep people healthy, moving, and safe receive crumbs in comparison.

For my opinion, both sides of citizens and government or to let say a corrupt politicians are both have the negligence/neglect about on this matter. Firstly, our gov/politicians are the responsible for making a project for this kind of prob and they're also the one who have the responsibility to maintain those project but because nga sa pagboto natin(/*Im not generalizing) ng hindi or walang Fullfiment sa duty as a public servant is nasasayang ang tax natin sa wala or in worst scenario na ko-corupt nila. In another hand, the citizens they/we also have a responsibility to maintain our area clean but ano ginagawa natin? kung saan saan lang tayo nag tatapon ng basura(/*hindi ako mag mamalinis, nagagawa ko rin pa minsan minsan) at nag ccause yon ng pag bara ng mga drainage at ng mga kanal natin. Kaya wag lang natin I-blame sa government ang mga problema dahil may responsibilidad din tayong mga mamayan na tumulong na mapasaayos ang bansa, be rational guys. kudos!

correction, billions of pesos din ang allocated for flood control. however wala pa ring magandang effect since da flood is floodening.
