Years ago they made a rule at work that if you forgot to clock in or out you didn’t get paid for that day until the next payday. I forgot to clock in or out two days on the before Christmas check my manager called me in the office and was saying now what I should do is make you wait for the next payday, but since it’s Christmas, I guess I can go ahead and let them cut you another check now it was something about the way she said it. I said that’s OK. I really don’t need the money now. Let’s wait to chat after Christmas. Sometimes your pride can get you in trouble.
