The MA position was actually created because providers didnt want to pay RN's their deserved salaries. So they created us to do the nurses work without their pay. That's why our scope is so broad!

Patients use terms that are incorrect, like referring to an NP or PA as a doctor, you just let it slide and go on about your day. But Lord have mercy someone refers to healthcare worker as a nurse!! I've worked in EMS and as an MA the rudest people in a hospital are nurses!!
