Life so private that I gave so many signs I was An0r3xic and nobody tried to help me. I’m now recovering all by myself, deleted THE app by myself, eating whatever my body craves in the moment, I had no acknowledgment. Recovery makes you realize it’s all about how bad YOU want to live a good life.

6 things I wish I knew early on in my fitness journey💛: 🫧being smaller doesn’t mean being healthier.  I quit competitive gymnastics at 15, and the following year my body changed and filled out (naturally from no longer training 12+ hours a week) and I spiraled. I thought my changing body meant I was doing something wrong, so I started chasing “small”, thinking that shrinking would fix the discomfort I felt. Thinking it would bring me balance, which it didn’t. And it definitely didn’t bring me health. It took years to unlearn that shrinking isn’t the goal, but rather feeling strong, supported and at peace in my body.  🫧lifting won’t make you “bulky” a classic. strong & balanced feels WAY better to me than small & overtrained ever did. lifting weights has brought me a new sense of confidence, capability & longevity 🤍 🫧 your rest days are just as important as your training days. your body can’t grow, repair, or show up for you if you don’t give it time to heal & recover!! once you gain consistency & start working out more, a day off can feel weird and even unproductive and I used to think if I wasn’t training, I was losing any progress I had made. but your body needs days off and time to rest and rebuild 💛  🫧you’re allowed to evolve and shift with time.  my fitness journey went from competitive gymnastics, to zumba, to the gym, to enjoying a mix of pilates, weights & running! you are meant to evolve!!! growth is beautiful! 🫧you don’t have to choose between structure and balance. you can lift heavy and rest. you can whole foods while also having dessert. I wish I could convince my younger self that I could be consistent without being extreme. 🫧the way you treat your body becomes the way you view yourself. I used to be so critical of myself, and by default, others too. Be kind to yourself and your body. And remain curious, always always alwayssss giving yourself room to grow.  sending you so much love always. have the best day ever💛
