Always hate having to explain to people that even my Jewish grandmother despised the actions of Izzy... pretty sure you can despise a government, their policies, their crimes & other actions based on morality, not bigotry. If my [insert marginalized identity here] neighbor beats their dog, throws trash over the fence into my yard, hands out poisoned candy to children every Halloween & gets away with it because they know the mayor, calling them an A-hole, peice of 💩, does not reflect on my feelings of others belonging to that group. Saying, "Oh, you just hate [insert marginalized identity here] because you're a bigot." Is just a way to try and shut people up by those who are complicit. Imagine the guy who sells poison to my neighbor calling me a bigot because the neighbor poisoning children belongs to a marginalized group. It doesn't excuse what they are doing... and calling people a bigot for pointing it out is just SO extra.
