Sir For your sets,, and trying to stimulate the inside of a mineshaft,, consider 2 part open cell foam. Like that "great stuff" product for filling air gaps. I worked at a local science museum,,, and,,, we'd get dinosaurs or other things that we would have to build and decorate sets for. There was a local manufacturer of that stuff that would give us a 5 gallon bucket each of the A & B to create the scenes. Make it on the flat ground and then put it in place. You could easily recreate the sense of a tunnel. As you know,, it is really light weight,, it takes latex paint very easily. Cheers!!
