There is no reason to go broke over skincare 👇🏻 “Medical grade” skincare is NOT a regulated term. It sounds official, but it’s just a marketing label. Both “medical grade” and drugstore skincare are sold OTC - neither one is prescription. There’s no secret ingredient list that only “medical grade” brands have access to. Many of them use the exact same actives as drugstore products. Some brands even use the same manufacturers or labs. For example, L’Oréal owns both CeraVe and SkinCeuticals. Formulas may be tweaked, but actives like 0.3% retinol or 10% glycolic acid can appear across both categories. Yes, some medical grade brands do clinical testing to back up their claims, BUT not all of them. And guess what? Drugstore brands like Neutrogena, La Roche Posay, and Olay have published peer reviewed research and run clinical studies showing data with comparable results. What matters most: the formulation, the science, and whether you actually use it consistently - not whether it says “medical grade” on the bottle 👀 The point here isn’t to bash one over the other. Just don’t get sucked into a product ONLY because it says “medical grade” - it doesn’t guarantee better results and it’s not magic in a bottle. Use what makes you happy, what feels good on your skin, and what fits your budget - whether that’s drugstore or “medical grade.” #skincareroutine #esthetician #medicalgradeskincare #skincareingredients
