We are each responsible for our own salvation and for seeking God on our own. People know when they’re doing wrong, and in the end, every one of us will have to answer to God. What does being a Democrat or Republican have to do with that? There are issues and faults on both sides. I don’t understand how politics gets mixed up with faith in that way—it just doesn’t make sense to me. And no preacher or anyone else can tell me who to vote for. I will vote for the person I believe can do the job better—or at least halfway better.
