when I was a teenager I had to do court mandated therapy and my therapist did in fact meet my mother for a consultation and suggested she might have some blame in the situation and my mother actually tried to fight her and had to be removed and I was literally told by my therapist I see what you mean and that validation carries me to this day

I found out I was lactose intolerant because my kid is, turns out vomiting all the time as a kid wasn't normal when I did it either

Even if you do a semi-decent job parenting, your trauma still comes up parenting. You’re like “Wait I was THAT LITTLE when they did that?” And “huh, I guess that’s what unconditional love and support does for a kid, but I guess my parents didn’t love me that much”. It’s fine. Great even. 🫠

Noooope my parents wanted therapy for me to be me seeing why I was wrong and they were right and for someone else to tell me that. I was in college. My therapisf told me I was being abused and go get out asap. I did. Thank god.

when I was 16 I was sent to therapy to figure out and I quote what was wrong with me. the therapist called my mother in and said that everything that she said was wrong with me was a direct result of her behavior and if she stopped everything she was doing I would be a normal teenage girl. never saw that therapist again - couldn't imagine why 😹
