yup. screen protectors are only for scratches, which is most of the damage the screen will get if you are a normal person and only have occasional phone falls. im dying to convince my friends that their hydrogel screen protectors arent doing anything

I buy them because the oleophobic coating on screens will absolutely wear away which means your finger won’t glide along it as easy. With a screen protector, just swap it out. EZ.

A screen protector does it job but that phone hit the corner since there was no case the screen broke from there and the screen protector can’t do anything to protect the corner

i used a screen protector. i fell with my phone in my hand. the whole screenprotector was cracked to the max. the phone didn't had a single scratch. I know it was a bit of luck but they definitely do something

I used to have a screen protector. Then when it broke one day i just took it off and have never used one ever since. The normal screen has survived way worse than what the protector ever did and it doesn’t seem to break at all, it just scratches
