Will I finally allow my publisher to finish the process & print my book in multiple languages & places? Maybe. Will I finally accept that the only purpose of my 30 year dance career all along, was to survive, & then be made completely new? Maybe. Will I finally step into my consulting business, that was the plan from day one, to transmute the trauma so others wouldn’t have to endure the same pain? Maybe. Will I stop using my platform to be a voice for the voiceless? NO. I’ve always been a coach. Going “No Contact” with my old life allows me to be a better coach OUTSIDE of the dance industry, than I ever could be INSIDE it. Now that I made it out alive, I can counsel you freely without any ties to any entity, within one of the most toxic industries to ever exist. I have no alterior motive, other than YOUR best interest. Or your company’s best interest. There are no regulations in dance. Let’s start with the kids. NO is a complete sentence. And I’m saying NO to the dance industry bc even though I got to live my DREAM LIFE through @The Rockettes & had many LIFE GIVING & incredible moments throughout my dance, teaching & choreography career… …the way we are training kids to enter into the professional world of dance is WRONG. If DAMAGE CONTROL is meant to reemerge, let thy will be done. I hope my story helps you, because I certainly didn’t survive it all for the survival guide to sit in a box.
