So I would say the reaction too the me too movement has a huge part to play on it. But interestingly not just the misogynistic men. A lot of really angry and bitter women took the movement and used it as a platform to start pushing man hating rhetoric. No I don’t mean holding men accountable the “men ain’t shit, k!ll all men, all men are useless, all men are evil pigs stuff.” So when your a young teenager on the internet trying to connect with people and all you see is how all these people hate you; it just pushes you further down the incel rabbit hole

Im Gen Z and I was heavily into the SJW compilation videos as a child. And it wasn’t until I moved out and started thinking for myself and not parenting my own parents that I realize I didn’t even like a lot of what I used to enjoy. That I was only Into it because it was the set expectations from my parents. And that alone took so much deconstruction, not even even funny.

I was halfway down the pipeline in middle school. Hate is learned and for young men, it's all they were ever exposed to online

I've noticed over the last few days that progressives are actively resistant to the idea that the average voter is just kinda dumb and needs to have things spelled out for them. We talk constantly about conservatives and their negative on education, we talk about how large portions of the country are functionally illiterate, we talk about how people aren't being given the analytical skills to interpret hidden meanings in things like media. Gen Z is the culmination of a long and storied history of education being actively sabotaged and when you bring up how disinterested the general public is in politics due to that, it's always "lmao just use google, dude." Educational disenfranchisement is a systemic issue and thus cannot be solved on an individual level.
