That’s awesome. I’m so excited for you. I would suggest a smart drive for you. They’re one of the lightest power assist on the market laying only 12 pounds and are very easy to attach. They don’t work for me as my fingers dislocate but from my understanding that’s less an issue for you

depending on your insurance coverage for DME it may be cheaper to go through "not a wheelchair". they make custom rigid chairs starting at 999! I went through the whole process to get a custom one through insurance first and then it was still way out of budget after insurance so we couldn't place an order. not a wheelchair gets to you within 6-8 weeks and you can have your OT help you build it online!

I have a smartdrive and highly recommend it!! It's pretty light, and super compact to bring in my car. Doesn't add to the turn radius of the chair so I'm able to get around my little apartment easy

That’s amazing. Custom Wheelchair can definitely change your life. Besides demoing the power assist you can also demo some of the types of chairs available.
