@nikandliv.diy: Have you ever wondered how much heated floors cost? Well, here’s your answer! This project was a $2,000 add-on to our primary bathroom. In peak heating winter months, it runs $10-15 on average! Well worth it— because we are obsessed with the warm floors! It’s a surprisingly fun and easy DIY! #heatedfloors #DIY #peelandstick #LearnOnTikTok

Why would you put heating cable under things like the tub and vanity?

As someone who used to work in flooring — you guys went all out and I highly recommend that to anyone doing a tile project. You want that kind of project to last!! Also, you can special order mortar with a higher psi rating if you’re inclined! Most companies will give quotes with the cheapest products, don’t make that mistake on a huge investment!

Where does the electrical tie in? Or what powers the heating of the coils?

as an ex house cleaner heated floors scared the life outta me the first time I felt them bc I couldn't figure out why my hands were getting so warm on the ceramic tiles but I would love to have it

do you need a special kind of tile for that? Would some crack under the heat?

Did this to my own bathroom at 15 years old as a first timer, it’s worth it but you have to be so careful when putting on the tile after you finished with the whole grid installation and cleanup. Def worth it

How did you transition to the next room? Assuming the tile ended up higher than the bedroom flooring?
