Of all the ASEAN countries, the Philippines is the only country that hasn't progressed. They always say the US helped them but if you look at the statistics, they are pretty much the same. They have convinced themselves the US helped them.

Vietnam is pretty much doing what the Philippines is doing but they're doing it quietly and offering olive branches at the same time. China just looks the other way.
