@themessyandthemagical: Mind you when we first looked at and decided to buy our house it looked so pretty. Yes it was older but you couldn’t see all the damage. The inspector didn’t catch multiple large issues, the seller was very crafty about how stuff was hidden so it wasn’t caught. It’s been a nightmare. Once we moved in and started living, it started falling apart more and more. I just want a sound and safe home for my children. I don’t want to worry about them staying sick from mold or hurting themselves bc of the floor issues. We’ve been working on it as best we can but it is expensive and time consuming and we just don’t have a lot extra. Insurance was zero help.
