There are so many things people enjoy. It would be wild to expect there to exist one person who enjoy all of them. It follows that it is normal and okay to not enjoy any given thing another person enjoys. This is a lot of words to be explicit about something that ought be obvious. I am nevertheless going to get excited trying to 'solve' finding a way for someone to enjoy something I enjoy, but if I fail then... that's an okay and expected outcome.

people take other people's choices as an affront to their choices and it drives me bonkers. you get that when you tell somebody you don't want a drink they take it as your choices as judgment on themselves.

I have more respect for those who can acknowledge that something isn't for them. Far more mature than just coming out and saying something sucks or its trash. More people out here need to practice this

People overextend their identity. This leads to them feeling rejected personally when you arent all about something. Then their minds close to any wisdom you are dropping. Try to keep your identity slim fam.

up until I got a friend group that just wanted to play to have fun, not to win, commander suuuucked for me. I was playing a krenko mob boss deck against people playing turn 3/4 win cons. draft is so much more fun

as someone who only has played commander, i totally understand why you say its not for you 😂 i play 4 person commander with my friends and it takes minimum 2 hours

I dont like commander because it makes the game take forever and a day. I also dont like how adversarial commander players are. Like if they get attacked by my monster they have a mental breakdown and swear eternal vengence. Though its probable that's worse for me bc I am afab.

"It isn't for me" is a phrase more people should honestly employ, internalize and embrace. Demanding everything be for "them" ensures it's for nobody. And liking what you like is key to being your own person!

It isn’t everyone, but even one difficult player at a table is enough to ruin the experience, and when games last over an hour, that’s a big chunk of time to dedicate to not having a good time. I understand when people say they don’t like it. I still love it though haha
