speak queen! My kids say "mom you are a bad mom! you need to watch bluey and learn to be a good mom!" the thing I did that made them say that. I said that it was time to sleep and no they cant have candy and watch Youtube in bed. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

its a perfectly normal stage of life to WANT to get away from the parents, to see their flaws, and even reduce/elevate those flaws to "Trauma" whether it was actually trauma or not. kids will grow up, and get their own ideas, and see the faults of everybody around them...starting with their parents. parents really shouldn't use perfection as a standard to how good they were. that the kid is on their own, and judging others by their own standards, is a Success by itself.

I’ve been leaning heavy on the I have a 38yo brain and you have a 15/6yo brain, and your brain isn’t ready for xyz, isn’t thinking about xyz or doesn’t understand xyz yet. So far, that’s been helpful but it’s not the answer for everything and I end up saying “because I say so” more than I’d like:)
