They hid this from her for a year because they knew what it would do to her. They knew how much she cherished her friendship and her dad. It was extremely traumatic, wrong, selfish, and hurtful to hide it, then spring it on her, with the wedding and pregnancy. That's not people you need in your life, because if those are the type of family that truly "love" you, who needs enemies. That poor girl. 💔

There’s nothing wrong with going no contact. Don’t feel guilty, don’t feel any sort of obligation to work things out. These people didn’t care even remotely how this would affect you, your best friend completely dropped you after getting with your dad. Was that her motive the whole friendship? You were very close but when she finally gets to be with your dad she doesn’t speak to you at all? I’d be done with both for good.
