Ring is the last smart home device I have that is in the Amazon ecosystem (came with my house). May be time to finally replace it. It may be true it was a bug that displayed old logins as May 28 rather than the date they were, but there were way more devices on mine than we have ever used with it plus devices we don’t even own listed. Whether it was a bug or breach, neither gives me confidence.

Protecting a Ring camera from hackers also depends largely on the user's proactive use of encryption, two-factor authentication, strong passwords, network segmentation, device updates, and cautious account management. And most people don't have a clue what I just said at all so Google it!

Ours had 2 safari accounts showing as logging in that day. We only have 2 android devices.

If it truly was a bug that mislabeled previous logins. Then when you delete them it would log that device out. When I deleted them on my account none of my devices were logged out. I don’t believe them.

I had a log in for May 28th and the service listed was for a phone I had gotten rid of before I got Ring. I removed it amd haven't been able to properly log into my app since.

Is this a bug yes, if a hack it would not have repeated logins, once they got a auth token they would not need to repeat it they would just “refresh it” until it expired or was revoked. To stay safe don’t using internet connected camera indoors or in private places. Use two factor authentication everywhere.

Fairly sure this is a breach.. I had 3 browser sign ins on mine and when I removed them, changed my email/pass. The next day I was being sent messages thru Viber of a person cussing me out and making new accounts to message me everytime I blocked and report.

Honestly this makes sense and is what I was suspecting. All of the devices on mine were plausibly old devices I own, me on VPN, etc. I removed them all immediately, of course, but it was suspicious that everyone had the same date and time - if it was a breach you'd think there'd be more of a range.

They’re saying it’s “prior login dates” yet people are saying “I’ve never used Safari to log in!” So even if the date was wrong, that doesn’t change that the rest of it is also wrong. I don’t believe them.

Scrambled logins? Uh, no. I’m the ONLY person with access to my account, and I have ONLY logged in from my cell phone. However, there were 7 additional devices logged in. 🤨
