Uhmm in the books belly and jere doesn’t have this much if a good relationship. She doesnt forgive him before proposing, she is not that into marrying jere nor does she this emotionless towards conrad. The changes go both ways

A cool plot twist that won’t happen but I like would be if belly was keeping a kiss between her and Conrad from us as well and Jeremiah says “I saw you and Conrad kiss” and we realise belly didn’t narrate the full Christmas scene and that’s why Conrad was too afraid to be in the same room as Jere and belly and then Jeremiah punches Conrad.

Honestly if they changed BOTH characters from the BEGINNING like they made Conrad better in the show I wouldn’t be this upset, because what do you mean they still made Conrad ahh but they switch her in last season so Conrad would be inferior 🤡🤡🤡🤡

I think they won more people over to Team Jeremiah than they expected in S2 so they are leaning into his flaws this season so people aren’t as upset when Conrad is endgame

what’s wild is, if they kept book 3 jeremiah exactly the same, the conrad collective would still be saying the same exact shit they are now so like… really what was the point???

I was talking to my team Conrad bestie and we agreed that the big issue is that after setting up Jere and Belly it is hard to set up Bonrad in a way that doesn't come off as Conrad being the world’s biggest asshole for getting close to his bother's girlfriend and falling in love together, so the story needs for Jeremiah to be a terrible option that doesn't work, and for Bonrad to find themselves later in life. Which does happen, but we both agreed it makes for much worse storytelling since in book 3 its not expanded on. Her words: "I need something in the present that convinces me there is something, I understand there is love in their past and it's felt, and that Jelly doesn't work, but I want to see their actual love story independent from Jere"
