There are always three sides to every story. He cancelled the baptism after he signed up and then showed up on the day they were supposed to do it and they had no idea. If he wanted to be baptized and was ready to turn away from his sin, then by all means but from what I understand, he doesn’t want to. Jesus literally talks about sexual immorality in Matthew because He spoke to the adulterous woman and then at the end and said, “Go and sin no more.” This comment is not to be taken as if Jesus is saying, “you know what? Since you’re a homosexual, I don’t love you.” No, Jesus LOVES everyone because we are all His children. Are we perfect? No. Are we going to stumble? Yes. But you have to TRY to make an effort to turn away and walk with Jesus. We are all not worthy of the cross but you can’t give your life to God and purposely live in the sin you were living in before you did.

I live in Tupelo, MS and I would never want to be the reason why someone couldn’t experience the joy, mercy, salvation and love of God. I would also never want to stand before God and him ask me why I didn’t baptize that man in his name, all because of his sin. The very thing he wanted washed away. We all wear sin on our back, no sin is greater than the other. I don’t agree with the lifestyle, but one of the main things that God asks us to do is to love your neighbor as you would yourself. I could never deny anyone a baptism, especially when my sin is no greater than theirs. What makes my sin worthy of the water but theirs isn’t? God loves everyone, regardless of our imperfections and our sinful behavior. King City needs to do better, they are supposed to be a church of god.. a church of acceptance, and a church of worship. It’s crazy that he went through that, and I hope he was able to get baptized in Jesus’s name 🤍
