As crazy as it sounds take Tylenol( the arthritis version better help for the joints ) and Advil 30 min BEFORE the run so your not in pain halfway through.

That's dope! It can be addicting. My first race was a 10k and went straight to a marathon. As far as shoes go it will be trial and error my feet feel beat in Asics or Nike. But for others it will be different. But congrats though can't wait to see the process.

Also for that distance you’re gonna want a shoe with more cushion try the ASICS gel nimbus 26 or go to a running shoe store and have them help you
