It wasn’t created Capital One. They use to be ING Direct banks, they were trying to create a casual third place bank. However, they sold their banks to Capital One in 2012.

it’s actually super smart…. you have to have physical banks, this softens the environment, they can get clients drinks snacks etc. it’s a cafe to hang out in and often banks have really great locations for this sort of thing… so if they have the space, why not make it more friendly and inviting ??

It’s actually a concept I worked on about 22 years ago in Canada as a test project. The idea was simple. To recruit young consumers they don’t want to go to a bank and wait in line. But the wait in line for coffee. Give free coffee to those that set up a bank account

Like most banks offer you a drinks/coffee for free anyways this is just 1 day forcing ppl to make the habit of going to the bank on mondays attaching your brand to a habit is amazing achievement keep your bank top of mind every week so when u want to get a mortgage a business loan etc y not just go with capital one that one u trust n have.
