This episode says alot ,betrayed by who you called your lover and your best friend as well,his body language,his eyes when he saw the message is relatable please after 6 years before he met Da bao,you can see their conversations when they were having a drink ,his ex lover and best friend talking about how they enjoyed themselves back then ,it's a wound for him and we are all human beings which I know his character portray reality

He genuinely still cares about wang shuo. I remember when wang shuo’s brother beat him up, chi cheng got so mad and retaliated and wu suowei saw it. It’s seriously heartbreaking in the novel. Don’t even get me started with the kiss.

am i the only one who disagrees? his body language and reaction 100% showed anxiety and just pure shock at his ex returning, you can clearly see he’s stressed and anxious, none of which proves he still has feelings for his ex

Sorry but his reaction was because he hated Wang Shou and he can't stand the sight of him and him coming back stirs him up. In the novel, he doesn't have feelings for him, and he's more anxious that if WSW knows about it, he'll push him away

And when Da Bao asks and told Chi Cheng that he should go. 😭Da Bao understands but I'm the one who's hurt for him! 😭He told Chi Cheng to chase him(Wang shou) before it's too late! i dont think cc has any lingering feelings for his ex. hes probably weird and uncomfortable w the whole thing bcz he never got closure for his relationship. and dating someone for That long and especially that person being a prior friend and then not even getting a closure and completely being ghosted is bound to scar u to some extent. wsw being anxious about this is v valid though, my poor baby

I start to think maybe it is why after CC finding out about yue yue , Wei didn’t fight for them. He lied about his feelings maybe he was already tired and didn’t trust cheng feelings for him anymore. Because I can smell the ex causing dramas. If Wei had to deal with the ex issue I get it if he was tired and just gave up on them.
