I am Indian & this happened to me too on an Emirates flight from DBX to LDN . I was so confused, didn’t want to make a scene & only realised what was happening when I walked into economy & was told to walk through to Business & stopped a 2nd time! I am British and as soon as I spoke , the atmosphere changed.

First of all, walk up to them and make a video showing the exact employees and express your disappointment. Post it. Black folks we have tolerated such nonsense for too long. The power of social media is real. Don't be nice, if you belong there you need to act like it and break down the house

This happened to me in Dubai but it wasn’t emirates staff it was a basic airport worker/ cleaner telling me I’m in the wrong line 😑. I cussed him out and told him to mind his business

So.. this happens to me all the time whenever I travel anywhere in Europe because I wear hijab. Do I go to social media and whine? I don’t find the need to. Hold your head up high you know who you are and that’s all that matters

I'm shocked this happened to you- I don't work for Emirates myself, but please find a complaint with customer service asap! If this ever happens again, tell cabin crew. They can get the report to the right people on the ground for proper compensation.

You know aside from colour they look at how ur dressed I was business class and a stewardess asked me am I on a family and friends ticket …this was when I was on the plane …. I think she looked at me in my comfy tracksuit and really wanted to have a go how I was dressed !!!!! It’s happened me twice

I and a colleague experienced similar whilst travelling to Singapore. It was the connection from Dubai on the A380 so we were boarding straight from the business class lounge to the upper deck and we were stopped and asked if we missed our gate while all the others were passing and boarding. Quite embarrassing. I didn't get it at first till we settled and I realised we were the only blacks in business class for that flight. Well I didn't want to believe it was profiling but with yours and seeing other comments 😏well. Subsequently I used Qatar to Singapore and never had that experience.

Was travelling in First once and they asked whether I was in Business, I said no. They pointed to the economy line. I then made that face while pointing to the First class ticket without saying a word and moved to the First Class line.

The way you speak I already know you’re in the right. I very appreciated when you said even if I wasn’t.ask me directly. You didn’t just took it personally but express how the correct manner should have been not acted like how they could treat me like this when I’m business class like those loud people but point the issue. Class. Smart.
