@evanagetfit: without data, it’s guesswork. That said, blaming cortisol for lack of progress is often a cop-out. In most cases, poor results in the gym come down to things like: • Inconsistent training • Undereating (especially protein) • Poor sleep • Low step count or overall daily movement • Not progressively overloading your workouts High cortisol could be a factor, but it’s rarely the *only* one. High cortisol means it’s time to train (and recover) smarter, not harder.
I have actual, diagnosed high cortisol. It's called Cushings. It causes sudden excessive weight gain, a moon face, a buffalo hump to form, your muscles to waste away, and your bones to weaken. It does majorly impact your results in the gym. Mine is caused by a pituitary tumor.😶
