I went to a sober living house right out of rehab(for 2 years) and it was so good for me. My sober house was exceptionally cool and I made great friends there. Taking the bus to work freshly sober was so humbling and I was SO happy.

I sent my son to rehab then a sober home (cash pay) in Delray. Worst decision ever. The head of the house was taking the money and getting high with a few other guys. It was just a horrible experience. I'm so glad it worked out for you.

When you go to a sober living house do they get you started with your basic needs? Like toiletries, food, bus fare? How do you get started with no money otherwise?
