I work retail and a customer told me that they asked ChatGPT to see if we had some thing to then be disappointed when they showed up to the store and we didn't have that. Lterally said "I guess ChatGPT lied to me, Oh well."

Im sorry that I know what em dashes are, im sorry that I learned how to use the Oxford comma, and im sorry that I learned how to use basic rhetorical devices to frame an argument. Just because your ass didnt pay attention in school doesn't mean we all did the same

This is why I left my book the way it is, because honestly, the way AI has poisoned communication and literacy, I'm going as fully natural writing, flaws and errors included, choppiness included, because it's INTENTIONAL to break the AI we've been conditioned into.

haveing used chat gpt for codeing questions, i haven't seen a single fucking em-dash this is most likely only a problem when it is writeing something more academic or book ish... you know, because AUTHORS use those, love those, and it has stolen work from that... the whole "oh you can tell because of *this*" is such bullshit. cause the people claiming this shit, can and could never fucking tell. the only times you can tell is when something sounds overly corporate, soulless. but the "this is the surefire way to tell, if it has this it is ai" DOES NOT FUCKING WORK. it is constantly evolveing and more stuff is scraped and added, there is no one thing that can make you tell it is ai. you have to read the thing and look at the tone, grammar, context, it is honestly scary how much it's starting to mimic us to the point we can't tell anymore for certain. so there is no one damn thing that can point out what is and isn't. you have to look for a series of readflags. and some checkers don't even detect properly. all the "this is a thing only ai does" comments and mindsets do, is end up attacking real people in the crossfire.
